Traditional "moode kottige" is a breakfast recipe, which is usually prepared during festivals in south Karnataka and Kerala. It is as simple that the idli batter is poured into "moode" that is prepared with banana leaves. There are 2 best combination with moode kottige are methi rasam and banana rasayanam. These 2 dishes also shown in the same video. Thus, the video includes preparation of moode and moode kottige, methi rasam and banana rasayanam.

Urad dal 1/2 cup
White rice 1 cup
Salt to taste
Water
For Rasayanam
Banana 7-8
Jaggery 3pieces
Seseme seeds 1sp
Coconut milk
For Methi sambar
Dry red chilli 3
Methi 1/2sp
Greated coconut 1 cup
Salt to taste
Tamarind
Jaggery
Water
