The mop fly is a effective summer pattern when fishing for both stocked and wild trout. It’s plump mop body gives this fly the appearance of a grub, larvae, or short worm. The colors of the fly can be interchanged in order to imitate a variety of terrestrial and aquatic insects. In today's video I demonstrate how I tie my "inch worm imitation" mop fly and show you a rainbow trout I caught using this pattern last summer at Big Stony! Tight lines, be safe, and as always thanks for watching. *note: rainbow trout in this stream are holdovers, not wild
