SPECIAL CHANNEL ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Allow me to introduce you to the latest member of the creative team, my talented daughter Morgaine, who will be helping to manage and improve the watercolour content here for you, with regular Morgaine Monday demos in addition to my usual Weds & Sunday vids starting with this exquisite sunset seascape. Hello and welcome, everyone! It's Morgaine here, and I'm really excited to share some work here on Mum's channel for the first time. Today I'll be painting this soft and simple sunset seascape using watercolour and the wet-in-wet technique. Equipment list: I'm using Millford brand 100% cotton watercolour paper, Cold Pressed, weight 140lb/300gsm, size a quarter imperial / 11inches x 15inches, or 28cm x 38cm. My board is at an angle of about 30 degrees. My colours today are: Ultramarine, Alizarin Crimson Hue, Quinacridone Gold, Vandyke Brown, Payne's Grey, and a little opaque White Gouache. All are Winsor & Newton colours, a mix of student and artist quality. If you don't have any white gouache, then a little opaque white watercolour such as zinc white would work well here too! The brushes I use are: a Daler Rowney Aquafine 'Skyflow' flat 2 inch synthetic wash brush; an Escoda Ultimo synthetic mop brush size 10; and a Princeton Neptune synthetic Round brush size 4. Thank you all for watching, I hope you enjoy my first video here, and happy painting!
