The au probably doesn't make much sense and maybe doesn't meet your expectation, so i apologize.
anddd i want to add a little detail about the au here:
1. There's not much who knows that M!Y/n have ability, just someone who close to Holmes family that knows. So this Man (Holmes Family Acquaintance) who knows that M!Y/n have ability, sold this information to someone (the kidnapper) who needs a kid with ability (for what? to sold him again in Japan)
2. Japan is known for The People who have abilities and The Mafia. So if you sold someone who have abilities here, you will definitely became rich.
3. M!Y/n still stays in the mafia because Oda didn't say his last words.
4. M!Y/n care about Louis, sadly Louis is one of his targets, the other is William, Albert, Sebastian, and others (i forgot their name..). He can't say anything because his actions being seen by the government and the mafia with someone abilities.
5. When his mission is done, he gets really heartless.
