Mendeleevskaya is a station on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line of the Moscow Metro. It was opened as part of the Chekhov —Savelovskaya section on December 31, 1988. The depth of the foundation is 48.5 m.
White koelga marble was used in the decoration of the station hall, the floor is lined with gray and black granite. The track walls are decorated with inserts with stylized images of the deformation electron density of various binary molecules, which at the time of the station's construction was the cutting edge of quantum chemistry. The idea of the inserts was proposed by the staff of the Mendeleev Institute, who took an active part in the design of the station's design. The station is decorated with original lamps, the design of which resembles the structure of a crystal lattice. From the center of the hall, stairways lead to the Novoslobodskaya station of the Ring Line. The vaults of the station halls are supported by columns through shaped wedged lintels.
