Another video where I ramble on about some of the technical aspects of a dog box transmission.
**Correction: Mixed up the steels and frictions in terms of what component splines with what - steels spline with the inner hub, frictions spline with the outer basket. Despite the whoops on my part, the process still works the same. In my defense, this is a transmission from one of my older race bikes and I don't have the frictions/steels anymore. ;)
Note: When I'm discussing synchromesh transmissions, I should've clarified that the gears they use are helical when I'm talking about the thrust/axial forces generated. Either way, hope you enjoy the video!
