Move up and down the guitar neck using these common patterns

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Learn some of the most common licks to move up and down the guitar neck between the two basic barre chord positions. Actual song examples include: Black Dog (Led Zeppelin) Crossroads (Cream/Eric Clapton) Blue Sky (Allman Brothers) Melissa (Allman Brothers) Rude Mood (Stevie Ray Vaughan) Santeria (Sublime) Each example shows how the shape is used in the song. Examples are shown from player viewpoint, up close, including the pick hand. The second half of the video shows them played slowly. The riff shapes shown in this video are some of the many chord, riff and lick shapes you can find in my free web app "The Building Blocks Of Rock", available here: https://guitarviz.com/bbr.html It's just a web page, all you have to do is open it and start using the app. Nothing to download, and you don't need to sign up for anything. Please leave any comments or questions. I do read them all! cheers, Kevin 0:00 intro 0:13 what's in this video 0:52 open A version 1:10 Black Dog 2:03 Crossroads 3:17 movable version 3:33 Santeria 4:58 "G" shape 5:20 Blue Sky 8:09 Melissa 10:07 Rude Mood 11:31 suggestions for using these licks 12:51 lessons (examples played slowly)
