After striking out at the last train show, I fortunately won this 15-pc lot of MTH Premier units at an online estate auction. You can find good deals on second-hand items at the auctions if you know what to look out for. I mainly bought the lot for a few select items, but have decided to keep about eight pieces. Let’s unbox them and see what I plan to keep and what I plan to sell.

The Lake Erie & Midwestern Railroad is a free-lanced O Scale model railroad that takes place over the last 50 years, or so. Set in the Midwest, between Chicago and Pittsburgh, the majority of action occurs in the triangle between Toledo, Cleveland and Columbus, OH. You can find modern fast freights with 6-axle GE and EMD diesels in consist as often as old Alco and Baldwin switchers shoving freight around the spurs to the various industries. It's a great hobby and we're excited to share the progress on the construction of our layout with you.
