1983 was the first year that Group B Cars hit the RAC Rally. But 1984,1985 and 1986 were when Group B really took control of the rally.
Peugeot and Ari Vatanen scored a dominant win in 1984 against a hard charging Hannu Mikkola.
Lanica and Austin Rover both used the 1985 event to debut their new 4-wheel drive Group B cars.
Whereas 1986 saw Markku and Juha Kankkunen fighting for maximum points to win the championship.
