We head to Ohio for round 12 of the 2024 GNCC series, the John Penton. This race pays tribute on the motorcycle side of the industry to John Penton, the original importer of Penton motorcycles, which eventually became KTM.
The area received a lot of rain during the weekend from Hurricane Helene. So we were left with yet again, another muddy race track. I got off to a decent start and was with the main group for a good portion of the race. Unfortunately, on the last lap with about two miles to go, I broke a ball joint, and my bike was unable to move forward. Another frustrating day, but my riding is there. We have a month off now before the finale at Ironman. Some of the motorcycle racers are off to Spain for the International Six Days of Enduro.
