Hello and welcome, in this woodworking video I will be using a lathe and multi axis / off centre woodturning techniques to create four overlapping bowls in one piece of oak countertop.
Off camera I roughed out the shape, marked and drilled four 8mm holes for worm screw mounting points. These were so I could cut a corresponding mortice to later shape each bowl.
Mortices cut and bowls shaped I created a couple of beads on the rim of the piece before reverse mounting on a jam chuck to finish off the base.
Shellac sanding sealer everywhere apart from the bowls which I acrylic painted red, green, blue and white inspired by the RGB light mix pattern.
