This project is a multi-layered laser cut map of Key West, that combines google map info (via Snazzy-Maps) - and bathymetric sub layers that are taken from NOAA nautical charts. If you somehow found this video, you have likely seen these types of wood maps for sale. And This Is How I Made It. This video has quite a lot of focus on the graphics work, as that was a substantial part of the project. I hope this helps others as they try and make their own map projects!
In this video, I don't spend as much time on the land layer - or the actual map layer. I covered that in detail in my Laser Lake Art video, which you can find right here: https://youtu.be/jNFP-_3eQpU
Also - for the first time I am going to share my digital files on Etsy. You certainly don't need my files - hopefully this video is enough for you to make your own. But if you simply want this Key West map project, or want my files to see in more detail what I did - they are available here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/872754377
Thanks as always for watching. If you haven't subscribed - please do!
