兵庫県たつの市室津に鎮座する賀茂別雷命(かもわけいかずちのみこと)を祀る、賀茂神社は平安時代末期(西暦 １１００)頃には創建されていたと考えられます。
それから考えても賀茂神社が創建されて９００年以上が経っていると考えられます。
重要文化財に指定されている建造物が八棟あります。
先日、初めて参拝しましたが、静かな漁村には考えられないような立派な神社でした。
現在の室津の状況から見ても、奈良時代から明治時代が始まるまでの繁栄が偲ばれます。
現在は牡蠣の養殖などが盛んで冬の時期には車で来た購入客で賑わいます。
しかし、この室津にこれほど素晴らしい神社が鎮座していることを知ってる人はほとんどいないでしょう。
神社や寺院は昔のように財力を持ったスポンサーが少なくなったので施設の維持は大変だろうと想像が出来ます。
いろんな神社仏閣に行くと施設の維持管理の難しさを実感させられることが多くあります。
その為にも多くの神社仏閣に足を運ぶ必要があると考えています。

If I go to various shrines and temples, I will understand that it is difficult to maintain the facilities.
For that reason, We think it is necessary to visit many shrines and temples.
