I recently bought this historic abandoned early 1900s homestead—once a general store and post office—and I’m slowly bringing it back to life. This is the first full tour of the space as it stands now, before any renovations or changes. Over time, I’ll be restoring it into a working homestead (farmstead) with a flower farm, vegetable garden, and everything I need to live more self-sufficiently.
📍 Why Restore This Homestead?
There are so many abandoned farms and rural homesteads that end up lost to time. My goal is to preserve the history of this place while turning it into a functional, sustainable home. It’s going to take a lot of time and effort, but I’m excited to share the process as I make it livable again.
💬 Follow Along for the Journey
If you’re interested in homesteading, historic renovations, and slow living, I’ll be documenting every step—from repairs to gardening to daily life on the farm.
