Work has finally begun on converting my MK7 Transit into a budget stealth camper. I've been putting things off as long as possible, mostly due to weather, but at long long last some real progress is being made.
My goal is to have the van functional for the end of March so I can get a couple of nights away, but I want it to be complete...or as complete as possible....before AllFord at Alford returns to @grampiantransportmuseum2024 in August.
2025 is also the 60th anniversary of the Ford Transit so it's a fitting anniversary to celebrate a van once dubbed the "Backbone of Britain"
Join me as I get my hands dirty, ripping out the old interior and painting the floor in an attempt to keep the tinworn at bay for as long as possible. I've definitely got a good feeling about this...
