Why You’ll Love This Recipe: ✔️ Ready in under an hour ✔️ Perfect for meal prep and leftovers ✔️ Customizable for your family’s taste ✔️ Ideal for camping or cozy family dinners 2 lbs ground beef 1 or 2 cans chili beans 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes 1 14 or 28 oz can of diced tomatoes 2 cups beef broth 2 Tbsp flour 1 onion 3 cloves garlic 1 jalapeno pepper diced small 1 poblano pepper diced small. 1 Tbsp chili powder 1 tsp ancho chili pepper 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp red pepper 1 tsp black pepper 1 Tbsp cocoa powder 1Tbsp tomato paste Optional: add 2 Tbsp white vinegar and 1 tsp tabasco sauce. Toppings: chives, cheddar cheese, jalapenos,diced tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream. Mix dry spices and season ground beef with salt and 1/4-1/3 of the dry seasoning mix. Brown ground beef in dutch oven, remove and set aside. Add diced onion and peppers and cook until peppers are tender and onion is translucent. Add garlic until savory (30-60 seconds). Add Flour and mix until it forms a roux (around 2 minutes) add tomato paste and remaining dry seasoning mix. Add beef broth and deglaze. Add crushed tomato, chili beans as desired, diced tomato as desired and bring to simmer. Optional Return ground beef to chili and add vinegar and tabasco if desired (at least try it once). Let simmer on low for at least 30 minutes, this is important and totally worth the wait.
