I've been wanting to do this trail for awhile and to test out the capability of the Tacoma. We decided to hit up the heartbreak ridge trail which is a small roughly 4 miles trail in between burns canyon and broom flat road. So far this is the hardest trail I've personally done in Big Bear. You can run it from broom flat road or from burns canyon road. Running from the broom flat road is a bit easier since you're going down but that doesn't mean that there isn't some challenges. There's a few rocky area and at the end a good rock garden you have to navigate through. Overall I recommend at least 33s, skid plates and rock sliders to have protect your vehicles.
