If you are changing your tires for the first time on the Dualtron X2, this is a must watch video. I would have labeled this video: "How to Change Tires on the Dualtron X2" but I hope that this video will help others to learn from the mistakes that I made on My First Tire Change on the Dualtron X2.
First of all, and most important, use a mini-torch or heat-gun to heat the areas where the screws are holding the rims onto the motor before you try to break them. Because I failed to do that simple step, I ended up stripping the hex-screws.
Secondly, make sure you put a lubricant around the axle before trying to remove the RGB Light Covering on the Wheels. I broke the RGB Wheel lighting by trying to pull it directly off of the axle.
Finally, make sure you remove the deck plate and unfold the steering column so that your fase-wire or motor wire will have enough extension whenever you take off your tire.
If you're changing your tires for the first time, you will probably need to purchase replacement screws because you may have a hard time removing them all without damaging the screws. (The Screw Size is: M5 x 40mm Socket Head Cap Screws https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CJFP3JY/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?pd_rd_i=B07CJFP3JY&pd_rd_w=nWEFK&pf_rd_p=ee7235ab-ce09-4c2e-b44a-fe648de12609&pd_rd_wg=jbeKX&pf_rd_r=N9ERSQWHZ6DRWDMJ7ZWG&pd_rd_r=10bb6de1-1c46-4fc9-bbda-ac703ad35cc8&s=industrial&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFKT1lMUEZRREdENVEmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAwNTA1NjkzTFYyQkpRNzMxODdRJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA5ODk2MzUzMk1HUzFCTks4OFBJJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1)
If you strip any of the hex-screws, you may need to drill the head of the screw off with a drill bit slightly bigger than the head of the screw. The rim is held onto the motor by the head of the screw.
If you find yourself in a worse case scenario, like I did, you will probably need a creative solution, hopefully which will not require you to saw the rim off as I had to do. This was my first tire change on the Dualtron X2 and it was a very difficult two-week experience.
