We have come to the end of a road... honey hauls.
Let me start by saying, I am ETERNALLY grateful for every hand-written card, every gift, every sentiment, every thoughtful gesture... You all continually change my life.
I have decided to close my P.O. Box for the foreseeable future.Transparently, (if you follow me you know) I have a LOT of stuff. And I am soooo honored to receive incredible gifts from followers far and wide. I have gotten mail from Australia, to Japan, to Naval ships, to just a couple cities away from me. But truthfully, I didn't open a P.O. Box for gifts.
In 2021 I was making new friends online with my casual TikTok habit, and I wasn't comfortable sharing my parents' address with strangers, so I opened a small and affordable box to be able to receive mail. I would get requests to send me something here and there, but again, it wasn't my intention.
I am so beyond fortunate and grateful for a community that thinks of me, and takes time/effort/money from their emotional and physical banks to send me things. Some of my most special memories are opening these packages.
I started posting unboxings as a more streamlined way to get all my 'thank yous' into the world. TikTok doesn't allow you to message everyone and I wanted to make sure I could give the ultimate thankful gesture back by letting those whoo mailed me something... watch me open it.
The feedback was very positive, but I will say, I think the videos did start to sort of promote sending me things. And I hate that anyone watching may have felt pressure, because I didn't post so that I could show off... It was just to say thank you and share your talents, small shops, etc.
I appreciate you all more than you could ever know, and it feels dramatic to type 2,000 characters explaining why I am not receiving mail, but I have heard some feelings of disappointment and don't want you to be sad. You support means EVERYTHING just by you watching and engaging with my content.
On a logistical level, I am also extremely behind right now. This stream was 3 hours long because I just haven't had enough time to film (and avoided opening without filming because of that expectation I have created by doing the hauls! I don't want anyone to mail thinking I will open on camera and then not deliver that. I don't want to disappoint you) — I feel sooo badly I took so long to open some of this. I just moved and I am working hard to determine what stays and what goes... and it feels a bit counter productive to continue bringing new things into my possession. Additionally, the post office just amended their 30 day holds for P.O. Box mail... to EIGHT DAYS. A bit ridiculous considering the price of having a box, and the whole point being to have a safe place to hold and retrieve mail.
I do all of this on my own, and don't need sympathy or pity... but I don't have the time in my schedule to go and check my box as frequently as the post office now demands.
I wanted to give a lengthy explanation because this has been a long multiple year-long journey and the care and kindness that is given to me deserves thoughtful and courteous response.
I LOVE YOU ALL! Thank you for absolutely rocking my world with your generosity; you make me laugh, cry and feel so so so much joy.
Not going anywhere, just switching things up for a bit. ALSO... HOW FUNNY WAS THE PACKAGE OF AIR??? I AM OBSESSED.
