This week I'm sharing my latest, and possibly favourite ever, make! New Look 6696 in our Lady McElroy high twist Rickardi viscose fabric. I am absolutely besotted with this dressmaking fabric, it is a tighter weave than some viscose fabrics and didn't drop at all when I left it to hang, it was beautiful to sew with and press and the colours and print are my wildest fabric dreams come true to be perfectly frank! I lined it with our John Kaldor Libra stretch lining in black and have used this lining fabric with woven fabrics on a number of occasions now and it is a lovely, comfortable way to line things and make them feel less fussy. I'll talk you through any alterations and changes to the construction I made and will point you to a few relevant sewing tutorials too. I hope you love it as much as I do, I simply cannot wait to wear it! I would also wear it with flat sandals on holiday for a more laid back look too.
