So in this video I’m going to take you through my starting patch on the midas pro 2, and I’ll let you know how I usually mix a band. This is my starting point for basically everything I mix on one of these mixers, and also what I give to touring techs if they’re using the house mixer It gets me up and running in no time so I can focus on the soundcheck If we’ve not met yet I’m andrew and I spend all my time mixing shows. I’ve been doing it in some capacity for about 10 years and I mix a lot on midas pro mixers. We’ll cover the creative mixing choices I makeThat’s EQ, compression, gating for drums, bass, vocals etc. As well as what FX I use and how I route everything through matrices and buses.
