The Pennsylvania Railroad K4's are a class of premier passenger-hauling steam locomotives that served the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1914 until 1957. They also hauled heavier trains which required another engine to pull because the K4's were underpowered.
The most famous train that the K4's pulled was the Broadway Limited which took passengers from New York to Chicago. The locomotive was streamlined to rival the New York Central's J3a "Dreyfuss" Hudsons which pull the 20th Century Limited, the equivalent of the the Broadway.
The only preserved K4's in real life are the 1361 (which will be restored to working condition) and 3750 (which is famous for pulling U.S. President Warren G. Harding's funeral train).
