The Nada Fighting Festival 灘のけんか祭り (Nada no Kenka Matsuri) is held on October 14 and 15 of each year at the Matsubara Hachiman Shrine
松原八幡神社 in Himeji 姫路, Japan.
On Day 1, the 7 districts parade around the shrine and then enter the shrine. Their floats are ~2 tons and are too tall to go through the gate so the tops have to be removed and then re-attached. (They are barely narrow enough.)
