Sri Devi Kali Maa who is going to kill Asur(Bad people) Chandan and Mundan.
Story:
For the symbolic representation Kali Devi leave the temple in search of two Asur (Chandan and Mundan).
In order to escape from Devi, Chandan and Mundan changed himself in the form a Kaitha Plant.
While Devi walking in search of Asura's , there is wind going and each tree leaf's moving in the wind.
Then Devi noticed two of the Kaitha Plants are not moving at all.
Devi realized that these are Asura's who changed there shape, immediately cut these Kaitha Plants and killed the Chandan and Mundan.
After killing assura, Devi also became red due to blood, same way here theyyam changed in to red colour. Devi bring the Kaitha Plant back to the temple and in the temple there will be Pooja of the Devi.
Since Kali Devi very angry during time of killing Asur, while come back to temple Devi will show the same rupa(anger) to the people who do not respect her.
