This is the start of the “Italy” section, by far my favorite among the many countries I have visited on my round-the-world trip! First, we landed in “Naples” in southern Italy. From here, we headed north by land toward Germany.
The German poet Goethe said, “Don't die without seeing Naples,” which I interpreted to mean not only the spectacular view from Posillipo Hill, but also the food that can only be tasted here. Mozzarella cheese was such a shock...
We also went to Pompeii and Capri and had a great time! It was an unforgettable experience, including a 10-day agricultural homestay.
