Located in Williams Arizona on Interstate 40 at Exit 165 is Bearizona Wildlife Park. A portion of Interstate 40 overlaps Route 66 so add that to your "been there" list depending on how much of it you decide to drive and or "counts" as a been there for you.
As you watch this video keep in mind this is the first major effort of primarily using my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and I think every video until this channel stops will be "needs improvement", or definitely aiming to make improvements but not over edit to where it's not like a family trip. This was also a drive through exhibit so portions of the car are showing in the video. I will typically remove our road trip banter and the full audio track because we have an amazing playlist curated by my husband - sing along, talk about music "back in the day" etc. and that includes copyrighted music which isn't allowed here.
When you enter Bearizona at the ticket booth you will receive directions for your visit, get extra maps if you have kids, they will love following along. You can opt for the walking tour or the driving tour as your first portion. We had been on the road so we went left at the entry in order to use the restroom first. You are allowed to drive through as often as you want - YAY. This time of year the wildlife in the drive through portion was a little less active due to, well Winter is ending and bears hibernate in the Winter. The bears in the park may not fully hibernate but they were less active than on a prior visit we made in May.
You will be advised that for the driving portion you will need to keep windows up, doors locked and I would make sure you have the window lock on for kids too. Domestic animals are allowed to ride with you enclosed in the vehicle but again, verify the requirements on the Bearizona website - Link Below.
I'll post a video that includes the brochure / map with the visitor information, this is circa early 2025 so be sure to check the Bearizona website for current information.
There is a restaurant and bar on site too so you can take a break mid-day for a refreshment or meal - the food was pretty good and at this time, reasonably priced.
