In this class , I have explained how to change Direct Speech to Indirect Speech when the reported Clause is an Interrogative Sentence . There are two types of Interrogative Sentence - 1) Yes / No Questions 2) WH Questions See the Example Below a) Direct :- He said to me , " Do you know the way ?" Indirect :- He asked me if I knew the way . Note :- Interrogative Sentences in Direct Speech are changed into Assertive Sentences . b) Direct :- The Teacher said to her , " Why are you learning English ? " Indirect :- The Teacher asked her why she was learning English . Sufficient Examples have been given so that there is no confusion among you .
