In the traditional teachings of our Navajo people the elders or the old ones were always willing to offer counsel or guidance when they saw a Diné making their life.
“When making your life” is basically the act of living and working towards goals and achieving awareness in the four areas of being. (Physical, Spiritual, Mental, Emotional).
The goal is to become a five-fingered being that can meet the Holy People.
And to do that there are certain things that must be done.
Family, work, helping others… These are the things to be taken serious when making your life.
Navajo Historian Wally Brown shares this teaching and others.
