Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Starting with Leonardo's painting of an ermine and following up with Velasquez, Chardin, Landseer and Rosa Bonheur, Paul reviews some of the animal paintings of Western art. He shares the work of Boston School’s own Frank Benson and Edmund Tarbell, of course, but also focuses on that of Americans, Winslow Homer, John Sargent and Ogden Pleissner plus the German, Richard Friese. The last half focuses on the work of German/American painter Carl Rungius who painted extensively the great wild animals of the American and Canadian West. Paul dedicates this video to Stephen J, a wildlife painter in his own right, who has given so much to help our channel continue and succeed.
