"I started my journey as an audio software developer in 2014, initially learning JUCE and C++ for a personal project. In 2015 I gave a talk at the JUCE Summit. I then started freelancing, and in 2020 formed my company in order to meet growing demand for my services. In 2022 I launched my first plugin. In the last year I have been growing my business and done a lot of thinking about how best to serve my own ambitions as well as my clients.
The talk will tell the story of my journey, and some of the things I've learned along with way, as well as some of the mistakes I've made. Much of my learning could be applied to other industries, but there seem to be particular traits within the audio developer community that I'd like to speak about.
I hope that my talk will inform and inspire others who are thinking about embarking on a similar journey, or who are at a different stage in their own journey building a business in this industry."
