The National Centre for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) finally got the “Pardy” they deserved on Friday! This, as they were successful in winning Machel Montano’s challenge for organisations to film a video using his 2025 Soca composition, 'Pardy.' Their winning entry ensured they were treated to a free concert by Montano and his band. On Friday, the students could not contain their excitement as the mega Soca artiste delivered a show they were all waiting for. Principal Kahaya Puckerin said the students were grateful for the chance to win. "We entered the competition, and we were victorious. We got more than a million shares, and here we are celebrating with Machel Montano, as the winners and we are so happy that we are able to break that barrier and let everyone in society see the ability in disability." Chairman of the Board of the NCPD, Dr. Marva Ribero, said the students are deserving of the concert. "I just feel as though Machel is one of us now, and when I go to speak to Machel, I am going to tell him just that. He is now a member of NCPD, and we want him to be our Brand Ambassador. That is, that is what we couldoffer him, and he could offer us in return." Also adding vibes to the Pardy was retired T&T and West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo. He reminded the students that they are champions. At the end, the students expressed their gratitude to Machel for giving them an exclusive “Pardy.” "Thank you for your love and support right. I’m your biggest fan. This is a gift for you Machel, we love you, Machel. Thank you from NCPD, I hope that you’re everybody’s favourite."
