Several pharmacological therapies are available for migraine prevention including the recently approved monoclonal antibodies targeting the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) or its receptor. In lack of head-to-head trials of new and old generation medications, network meta-analysis may allow for indirect comparisons. Prof. Andrea Cipriani, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. His academic works focus on network meta-analysis and individual patient data meta-analysis to better inform healthcare decision-making process. He is considered a world-leading expert on evidence-based medicine in psychiatry.
