Networking a Hikvision NVR to a Non-Hikvision ONVIF IP Camera
In this video we instruct viewers how to connect another brands ONVIF IP camera to a Hikvision NVR. Instead of using the NVR's built in PoE switch to autoconfigure Hikvision IP Cameras, we will employ a PoE switch and connect the ONVIF camera to the PoE switch using at cat5e or cat6 cable. We will also connect the Hikvision NVR to the PoE switch. Lastly, we connect the PoE switch to a modem or router with live internet.

Using Advanced IP Scanner, we locate the ONVIF camera on our network and configure it's IP address to match our gateway LAN. We then add the ONVIF camera to the Hikvision NVR for recording and remote viewing.
