I'm a longtime user of iZotope plugins, and absolutely LOVE Neutron for its simple interface and great selection of tools. I've often thought of the mix assistant as something that other people use, and never really gave it much of a chance, until this video!
Here's I'm leaving EVERYTHING to chance and letting Neutron 4 process my track in whatever way it sees fit, with absolutely no intervention. I wanted to see just how good it could make my track sound through its AI mechanisms. In one word: IMPRESSIVE.
Neutron EQs and compresses my drums, guitars, bass and vocals in a really effective way, and absolutely brings my track together to sound great. This is always going to be a 'kicking off point', but it got my mix to the point where a few tweaks, a couple of FX sends here and there, and some master bus processing, would give me a fantastic end product.
