শিং মাছ চাষে বিপ্লব: ১৫ শতকে ২৫০ মণ মাছ উৎপাদন!
ময়মনসিংহের তারাকান্দা উপজেলার রাইজান গ্রামের চংনাপাড়া বাজারে এক চাষির সাফল্যের গল্প আলোড়ন তুলেছে। মাত্র ১৫ শতক জায়গায় তিনি উৎপাদন করেছেন ২৫০ মণের বেশি শিং মাছ!
স্থানীয় বাজারে শিং মাছের দাম বর্তমানে প্রতি মণ ১২ হাজার টাকা। এই হিসাবে, তার মোট মাছ বিক্রি থেকে আয় হতে পারে প্রায় ৪০ লক্ষ টাকা। অথচ উৎপাদনে খরচ হয়েছে প্রায় ১৫ লক্ষ টাকা, যা ওষুধ ও খাবারের ব্যয়সহ হিসাব করা হয়েছে।
এই বিপুল সাফল্যের পেছনে মূল কারণ সম্পর্কে জানতে চাইলে চাষি জানান, "নিজের হাতের পোনা হলে ভালো উৎপাদন সম্ভব। সঠিক পরিচর্যা, সময়মতো ওষুধ প্রয়োগ, এবং প্রশিক্ষণের মাধ্যমেই আমরা এই সাফল্য পেয়েছি। মাছের ভাইরাস বা রোগ যাতে না হয়, সেজন্য আমরা সবসময় নজর রাখি।"
স্থানীয়দের মতে, এভাবে মাছ চাষ করলে বিদেশে যাওয়ার প্রয়োজন নেই, এমনকি সরকারি চাকরির দিকেও তাকানোর দরকার হয় না। প্রশিক্ষণ নিয়ে পরিকল্পিতভাবে মাছ চাষ করলে এটি হতে পারে এক লাভজনক পেশা।
এই অঞ্চলে এভাবে মাছ চাষের বিস্তৃতি ঘটলে দেশের মৎস্য খাত আরও সমৃদ্ধ হবে বলে মনে করছেন বিশেষজ্ঞরা।
Revolution in Fish Farming: 250 Maunds of Shing Fish in Just 15 Decimals!
A farmer in Chongnapara Bazaar, Raizan village of Tarakanda upazila, Mymensingh, has created a buzz with his remarkable success in fish farming. He has produced over 250 maunds of shing fish in just 15 decimals of land!
Currently, the market price of shing fish is Tk 12,000 per maund. Based on this rate, his total earnings from the fish sales could be around Tk 40 lakh, while his total investment, including feed and medicine, was around Tk 15 lakh.
When asked about the key to his success, the farmer said, "If the fingerlings are homegrown, high production is possible. Proper care, timely use of medicine, and professional training have helped us achieve this success. We constantly monitor the fish to prevent diseases or infections."
Locals believe that with this approach, one does not need to go abroad for work or even rely on government jobs. If trained properly and planned well, fish farming can be a highly profitable profession.
Experts suggest that if this method of fish farming expands, it could significantly contribute to the country’s fisheries sector.
