Turned off by the older apartments we decided to see how much newer apartments in Korea cost. We heard "Villa" category apartments were the best budget option in Korea as they do not have a common area HOA fee. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that internet, tv, and water is included for free in the rent. So we were blown away to find new Villas available for less than 300 USD! Only if the US dollar wasn't so weak lately it would be around 250 USD. Now we know how affordable housing can be in Korea, stay tuned as Tad goes for another round of apartment hunting. These apartments were a bit too small for his needs so we will be looking at 2 and 1.5 bedrooms next for our budget apartment tour series in Korea.
