Thanks to your suggestions, we added a feature that allows you to test a bigger range of capacitors, inductors and resistors.
This change is done in the software and it basically automatically scales the waveform coming back in to match the dimensions of the display. This makes traces such as capacitors more defined and so it is easier to diagnose faults in capacitors, diodes, inductors and resistors.
To get into the auto mode, you need a version 2 Octotester. When you power your tester on hold the probes together and you should see the line go fuzzy. This is auto-mode and it means you can test more electronic components and it makes it easier for you to diagnose electronic components for faults.
