New Ford F-350 Tremor Crash Lands Into A Wash Canal! Oh look, yet another one of these type of jobs! It must be something in the water here that keeps making people crash into riverbeds and canals. This one was by far the biggest catch compared to the others.
We had a 2012 Scion, 2000 4runner, older Hyundai, a KIA and now our biggest catch this year: a newer Ford F-350 super duty Tremor edition. I'm not really a truck guy so I looked it up and this is supposed to be their top of the line package for "off roading". Do with that information what you will lol. All I know is if this isn't the definition of off road, I don't know what is.
Alex responded in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator, accompanied by Vicente in the flatbed for transport. Story goes this driver broke into a construction yard at midnight, stayed in there for 3 hours doing nothing, then drove through the gate and into this wash canal. Surely nothing to see here folks.
In lieu of a spreader bar, Alex parted his lines so that each boom line would be attached to each individual tire using BA car straps. Once secured, he got a ton of height needed to put as little pressure on the body of the truck as possible. From there, it was just a matter of going in with the cables and swinging the boom to get it out and onto the flatbed.
Pretty standard car fishing job, with the added price tag of an expensive new truck and a change of scenery. What did everyone think REALLY happened here and of the job?
