Rainbow High has been hit or miss ever since the soft reboot so my expectations have been low, BUT this new Chalk & Style Amaya Raine doll is surprisingly….stunning!
She is a budget doll that retails for $20, but she also has a chalk hair play gimmick which lines up with the new era of RH dolls.
The new dolls prioritize gimmicks and sacrifice quality elsewhere, usually that “elsewhere” is less articulation, no doll stand, and subpar fashion.
The surprising thing about this Amaya is that she has a charmingly cute, fashion forward outfit that feels completely out of left field for the dolls we’ve been getting.
She still has terrible articulation and no doll stand sooooo things are completely perfect BUT I still love and adore this Amaya doll.
