In a failed attempt to smear HYBE, New Jeans member HANNI gave a melodramatic testimony at the National Assembly with her weird connections to Bunny Uncles. The middle-aged male politicians publicly were supposed to investigate labor abuses, but expressed their biased support for the young K-pop starlet. During the hearing, Hanni recounted her unsubstantiated claim that being ignored by rival girl group ILLIT in the hallway amounted to workplace bullying.
Other CEOs in attendance of the labor committee’s hearing had to defend numerous deaths due to workplace safety violations. However, instead of concentrating on the grave matters at hand, they were obsessed with taking selfies with Hanni. ADOR’s new CEO, on the other hand, faced unfair bullying by the National Assembly politicians who ironically accused CEO Kim of not addressing bullying at HYBE.
The creepiest moments during the hearing always involved slips of tongue that made it seem the bunny uncles had previous and ongoing contact with underaged K-pop idols. Who will investigate the National Assembly bunny uncles? And what will New Jeans Mama Min Hee-jin’s next sneaky move be?
