New Jersey Transit operates several commuter train lines throughout the state of New Jersey. Trains are primarily oriented to get commuters into and out of New York City. They are pulled by diesel, electric, and dual mode locomotives. Some of the trains originate at Penn Station in New York while others come from Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey.
