The New World of Superduke Setup for street, track, and race – KTM 1290/1390 Super Duke R, RR, EVO - Part I
There is a new world of setup now, for our favorite Gen3 Superduke 1290 - and for the new Gen4 Superduke 1390! Learn about new bar position options, new triple clamp offset choices, new ideas on rear ride height, the value of getting your knee on the ground for bike control and confidence, and of course the benefits of creating more swingarm angle and anti-squat WITHOUT adding too much rear ride height.
Thinking outside the box this winter changed my approach for setup on the Superduke for past few years. Using the new Superclamp from Superduked.com, coming down from such high settings for the rear, using different bar mount positions, fitting Ohlins FKR cartridges into our WP forks, and having my body closer to the pavement due to now being able to run lower rear ride heights – all of these changes are helping redefine, and renew, our good ole Superduke Gen3.
And let’s not forget the new Gen4 1390. All of these new changes also apply to the Gen4 because chassis wise the two bikes are the same.
