INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO PREPARE Kakro KO ACHAR / ALOO KO ACHAR. (Potato Salad pickle)
- 200 gram (2 boil Potatoes) (medium size)
- 400 gram Radish (Red and white mixed)
- 250 gram cauliflower
- 50 gram fresh garlic
- 1/2 cup green peas (Soaked in water overnight)
- 1/2 cup small brown peas (Soaked in water overnight)
- 5 tbsp cooking oil (You can reduce the oil if you wish to)
- 3 tbsp Sesame seeds, first roasted and then grated in grinder (Brown Powder)
- 1/2 tbsp fenugreek seeds (Methi)
- 1 and 1/2 tbsp Salt or as per your taste
- 12-13 dried red chillies (dry Roasted on a Pan)
- ¼ tbsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 4 Green chilies chopped into small pieces
- Imli (tamarind paste made with tamarind)
- 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder (for colour)
DESCRIPTION FOR Newari Bhoj ko achar:
Aalu ko Achar / Aloo ko Achar / Kakro ko achar / Newari Achar is all time favourite Nepali dish. It is very famous in every household in Nepal. Mainly it is prepared in special occasions in Newari Bhoj. Alu ko achar goes very well with rice, pulao, chiura (beaten rice) and Roti.
