Newfoundland Episode 1 | Gros Morne National Park

In September we drove to Cape Breton Nova Scotia and boarded the ferry to Newfoundland, with the dogs of course! We sailed from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland on an overnight crossing. From there we explored the Western side of Newfoundland from the southern to northern ends. In this episode we visited Gros Morne National Park in central western Newfoundland. This park had been a bucket list visit for us and we ended up spending more time there than planned. The park is very dog friendly, with dogs allowed on trails provided they are on leash and waste is cleaned up. We hiked several trails in the park, including Tablelands, Gros Morne Mountain and Western Brook Pond, as well as a few smaller trails. The park is full of great hiking and stunning, rugged mountain and ocean views. A place we will definitely visit again!
