I hated the shit out of this game. We deserved a 2nd shot at the FG there was pass interference. It matters not, the Niners lost later, the Bucs were historically great on defense in 2002; and just good enough on offense to cruise through January. There's no way the 2002 Giants get past the 2002 Bucs.
But Giants did get the best of the Niners in the postseason, 1985, 1986, 1990. 1990 it was the NFC Championship a brutal 15-13 slugfest, a game that doomed this child to eternal Giants fandom. 2 seasons of glory since, lots more anger, dissapointment. Now I and the rest of the city of New York and surrounding suburbs that has hometown pride have to suffer the curse that is Dave Gettlemen. I have to look upwards next few years at the Redskins. At least I can root with Jet fan friends; they, the men who wear green colors on Sunday have HOPE at least. We had a great time on Sundays in 2009-2010.
