Video of the mighty Citi Field scoreboard as Edwin Diaz comes in to pitch the top of the 9th inning for the New York Mets against the Philadelphia Phillies at the Citi Field stadium, October 9, 2024 (NLDS, Game 4).
This is similar to an Edwin Diaz video I made during the 9/22/24 Mets game, also against Philadelphia, but there are significant differences. Although shot from the same vantage point, for this video I held my camera phone over the railing instead of sitting in back of the seat like I did in the earlier one, so there's no platform for fans to stand on and obstruct my view. On the left side of this video you'll note the railing, and above it a small reflection of the scoreboard images on the plexiglass in front of the aisle and stairwell.
Also in this video: at the beginning, a brief look at the NLDS scoreboard graphics, and a graphic showing the Mets' defensive lineup going into the top of the 9th inning.
Following the Diaz intro, the mighty Citi Field scoreboard has some shots of fans, the aforementioned defense lineup graphic, some more fans (including one guy wearing a Grimace costume with a David Wright jersey over it), and the at-bat graphics for Philadelphia batter J.T. Realmuto. The video ends after the right field scoreboard records Diaz' first pitch to Realmuto.
The video was shot from section 538, row 1, seat 10.
