Hello creative friends,
I've had a hard time "showing up" here after a month of really struggling with depression and anxiety, and then grief over losing my oldest and sweetest kitty, Bibi -- but I did manage to turn the camera on this week and after a bumpy start to filming, managed to get into the swing of things and ended up really having a fun time crafting these sweet radish ornaments and "visiting" with all of you.
I want to make sure I'm staying true to my original intention when I started this channel five years ago - to make art and the act of creating accessible - and to emphasize that you don't need to buy a bunch of expensive supplies to make art - and also that we can re-use and repurpose things so that our creation process isn't so "consumptive" and wasteful.
If you've been struggling, please know you're not alone and this is a supportive community of kind and kindred spirits. I appreciate the way you all share your experiences, advice, and encouragement in the comments - not just for me, but for one another - and I hope we can continue to be a sympathetic and nurturing group of creatives (even as this channel grows exponentially larger than I ever could have imagined).
Thank you for being here - and happy making to you!
xo, Rosanna
