Ingredients for Brownie
Dark compound - 100 gm
Unsalted butter - 50 gm
Light brown sugar - 1/4 cup
Maida / All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
Egg - 1
Note : For this measurements, please use only 6 inch non stick pan. If we use a big size pan for this measurements, brownies will be like biscuit.
For 8 inch pan, double this measurements, for 10 inch pan, triple the measurement.
Ingredients for Khova Cake :
Khova - 75 gm
Unsalted butter - 100 gm
Brown sugar - 100 gm
Maida - 100 gm
Eggs - 2
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Saffron - 4 to 5 strands soaked in 1 tbsp warm milk
Note : For this measurements, use only 7 inch pan.
You can either use a cooker or kadai too. Don't add any salt or sugar at the bottom.
It takes roughly 30 minutes to cook. After 15 minutes, open the cooker to check if it's cooked. Don't add whistle to the cooker, cook in low flame. Once the cake is cooked immediately remove it from the cooker and after 5 minutes, remove it from pan.
If we leave it in the cooker or pan for long, the cake will be dry.
