Sky News host Chris Kenny says US President Donald Trump has “upended everything” in global diplomacy in one fell swoop.
President Donald Trump has declared the United States will take ownership of the Gaza Strip to establish a safe and peaceful region for displaced Palestinians to return to.
“Nobody expected this; the most powerful nation on earth volunteering to take responsibility for Gaza, where the latest war has been just one in a history of intractable enmity,” Mr Kenny said.
“In an instant, the Middle East is transformed, and where it will end – good or ill – nobody can say for sure, yet.”
