Lord Foster, the founding director of Foster+Partners, addresses the challenges of urbanisation and sustainability, looking at how a philosophy of ‘doing more with less’ can help generate design solutions. Using examples from around the world he discusses the nature of innovation and the power of advocacy. This lecture formed part of Architecture on Stage, a programme of talks and debates curated by The Architecture Foundation in partnership with the Barbican Centre. ABOUT THE ARCHITECTURE FOUNDATION For over 20 years, the Architecture Foundation has brought together professionals from across the built environment to discuss and act on issues related to design and the built environment. With a renewed focus on the city and the critical intersection of architecture and politics, the Architecture Foundation works to effect meaningful change on policy and practice. http://www.architecturefoundation.org.uk
